Digital Ocean Society Pavilion
Taking on the challenges facing the ocean — environmental pressures, food self-sufficiency, and security in the waters around Japan — through digital technologies such as AI and IoT, and through the development of the next generation of talent.
By encouraging the marine sector to work with industries beyond its own, the pavilion contributes to a sustainable blue economy and creates a place where marine businesses can move more quickly from concept to real-world use.
About the Digital Ocean Society Pavilion
Advances in digital technology are opening new possibilities for the marine industry. AI, IoT and big data hold promise for problems the ocean faces, from environmental pressures to improving food self-sufficiency, and with them comes a growing need to develop the people who will carry this work forward. Grounded in the principles of Society 5.0, the Digital Ocean Society Pavilion sets out a picture of where advanced technology can take the marine industry. To energize this market, the pavilion works to foster collaboration that reaches beyond the marine sector into IT and electronics.
