    Building a Digital Mobility Society That Supports Richer Lives: Solving Social Issues Through Wider Adoption of New Mobility Products and Services

    The ITS Business Committee operates under the Advanced Transport Systems Board, a body made up of member companies and outside experts of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), the organizer of CEATEC. The Committee promotes research and adoption in emerging fields of ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems), advocates for policy and drives its implementation, maintains on-board unit standards, and takes part in international standardization work. The Committee welcomes new participants on an ongoing basis — not only in ITS, but across mobility as a whole, and from any industry.

    ETC/ETC2.0: Looking Toward the Future

    We introduce new initiatives built on roadside-to-vehicle communication technology — from ETC2.0 services such as congestion avoidance and safe-driving support through to the systems that will underpin autonomous driving. We also explain how to check whether an ETC/ETC2.0 on-board unit conforms to the current or the new security standard, ahead of the standard revision scheduled for around 2030.

    SOMPO MobineX: Accelerating the Real-World Adoption of Next-Generation Mobility

    Through SOMPO MobineX, its solution suite for next-generation mobility, the SOMPO Group is working toward a society where everyone can travel with confidence. The company addresses the wide range of obstacles that arise between initial adoption and full deployment of autonomous driving, ride-sharing and EVs, approaching them from the perspectives of both service providers and users. The booth includes demonstrations of these efforts.

    Next-Generation Smart Mobility Through Real-Time Digital Twins

    A real-time digital twin gathers information on every participant in traffic — pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles alike — via V2X communication and road infrastructure, then reproduces it in cyberspace as it happens. AI predicts what comes next and feeds the results back into the physical world, enabling hybrid automated driving and highly reliable V2X communication. This exhibit shows the next-generation smart mobility these digital twins make possible, and offers a vision of a future in which a digital mobility society and physical AI coexist.

    Toward a People-Centered Society Through Next-Generation Mobility

    The Smart Mobility Initiative of the Super Smart Society Promotion Consortium is working to realize a people-centered society through next-generation mobility. By linking four layers — vehicles, infrastructure, digital systems and social frameworks — the initiative pursues freedom, safety and sustainability in full measure, connecting them to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

    Transforming Automotive PCB and Advanced Package Design with EDA and Agentic AI

    EDA is the technology used to design and verify semiconductors and electronic boards on a computer. Cadence’s AuraStack serves as an AI agent within an agentic AI framework supporting automotive system design, linking the design of semiconductor boards and advanced packages with multiphysics analysis across electrical, thermal and mechanical domains — improving both development efficiency and quality.

    Introducing Medical MaaS

    A service that combines healthcare and mobility to help address the challenges facing regional medical care. Using medical mobility units equipped for online consultations and health screenings, it delivers healthcare on the move, tailored to each community’s circumstances — physician shortages, uneven distribution of medical institutions, and the burden of travel for residents. Drawing on experience with more than 30 municipalities nationwide, MONET supports partners end to end, from identifying issues and drawing up plans through stakeholder coordination, implementation, operation and improvement.

    Toward Level 4 Autonomous Driving in Saga City: Communications Technology Opening the Way to Safer Travel

    A Level 4 autonomous driving deployment project undertaken with Saga City and seven other partners. Facing a shortage of bus drivers, the project established a path forward by combining communications technology with vehicle control. Exhibits cover results from technical trials essential to stable operation of autonomous buses: countering coverage gaps in mountainous areas, maintaining remote monitoring quality under network congestion, and supporting right turns across oncoming traffic at unsignalized intersections using roadside sensors. The booth presents Rakuten Mobile’s latest work toward real-world deployment along with the technical insights gained through verification.

    Next-Generation Cycling Safety Through Radar and Real-Time Video

    The Terasilic Bike Radar E-Mirror is an advanced safety assistance system for bicycles, integrating a 24 GHz millimeter-wave radar, rear-view camera, display and smart tail light. It shows rear-view video in real time while detecting the distance to approaching vehicles, how they are closing, and potential hazards — alerting the rider immediately through on-screen display, audible warning and light signals. By fusing radar sensing with live video, the system reduces risks arising from blind spots, poor visibility, crossing paths and fast-approaching vehicles, offering an intuitive and capable safety solution that improves both safety and situational awareness for two-wheeled mobility.

    The Best Solution for Commercial Autonomous Driving

    Turing Drive provides optimized autonomous driving software and fleet management systems, and works with vehicle manufacturers on joint sales of autonomous vehicles.
