CEATEC AWARD is CEATEC's own award program, conducted in cooperation with the government. Since its founding in 2011, this year marks its 16th edition. At CEATEC, where cutting-edge technologies gather from across Japan and around the world, the award recognizes exhibited products, technologies, and services judged to be especially innovative and outstanding. It is a prestigious award that aims to bring outstanding technologies to the world, contributing to the creation and growth of new value and markets, and helping to invigorate industry as a whole. Judging is conducted rigorously by a review committee composed of relevant academic societies and specialized media.

CEATEC AWARD Ministerial Awards
The Ministerial Awards will be awarded for outstanding projects, technologies, products, and services, as well as supporting software, applications, components/devices exhibited at CEATEC 2026 and entered for CEATEC AWARD 2026. These awards recognize entries judged as making a major contribution to solving regional issues, including revitalization; promoting prosperous lifestyles, enriching society, improving efficiency and high added-value in economic activities.

Candidates for selection are deemed to have made major contributions to the advancement of the CPS/IoT community and realization of Society 5.0 – which includes but is not limited to the innovative utilization of information and communications networks, data, AI technologies and IoT technologies in the age of IoT and Big Data, as well as establishing services based on the aforementioned technologies for use in local communities.
