- SESSION
October 3rd - 7th, 2000
- VENUE
Makuhari Messe (Nippon Convention Center)
- EXHIBITION TRENDS
- 1. Lifestyle stage
trends
- There were many exhibits of digital network
products and technology. Many companies displayed
their new products for the BS digital broadcasting
that was set to begin in December of that year.
In addition a lot of products such as digital
recorders, compact memory cards, PDA's, PCs,
mobile phones, and bluetooth-enabled products
made this show a dream come true for Audio/Visual
and IT enthusiasts, and gave us a look at the
lifestyle of the future.
- 2. Business stage
trends
-
Household electric appliances such as mobile
phones and digital cameras have become conspicuous,
overtaking personal computers which had been
leading the semiconductor marker. This movement
has advanced along with the development of
broadband.
For the production of these types of appliances,
lots of new technology, parts, and materials
are needed, and they must clear myriad hurdles
such as weight reduction, miniaturization,
power consumption, and soundproofing. Through
the exhibitions and presentations we could
clearly see motivation, technology, and developments
to meet these demands.
- 3. Industry stage
trends
- The digital network and IT era is upon us,
and there were numerous products and technology
that interoperated with things in the business
and lifestyle stages.
