The Institute of Electronics,
Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE)

IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers) hosts a Special Symposium, IEICE Tokyo Section Symposium and technical Workshops in the CEATEC JAPAN 2012, inviting distinguished speakers and panelists from the industry, government and academic societies of Japan. In the Special Symposium, they will discuss their views and strategies on "Future direction of ICT in Japan" from their individual standpoint based on the valuable lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake, under the subtitle of "Exploring the mission of ICT and its utilization after the Great East Japan Earthquake". In the Tokyo section symposium, "M2M network" and "Utilization of Big data" are overviewed from a viewpoint of ICT, and issues and solutions for the platform construction and application will be discussed with a viewpoint of global competitiveness reinforcement. Also the IEICE Workshops aim to give opportunities of presentation and discussion on various technical backgrounds covering electronics, information and communications.

IEICE Special Symposium

IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers) hosts you a Special Session in the CEATEC JAPAN 2012, inviting distinguished speakers and panelists from the industry, government and academic societies of Japan. One and a half years passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the movement toward the reconstruction has become active. From the experiences of the earthquake, many valuable lessons for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) were also learned. Based on these lessons, the speakers and panelists will discuss about the direction of ICT in Japan, focusing on the mission of ICT and the future prospects of its utilization for the realization of safe, secure and smart society from their view points.
