An overview has been compiled of the CEATEC JAPAN 2011 exhibition that will be held at Makuhari Messe from October 4 (Tuesday) to October 8 (Saturday) from 10:00 to 17:00 every day.
At this year's CEATEC JAPAN, while overcoming difficulties such as the earthquake and electricity issues, Japan's IT and electronic industries will make an appeal to the world about Japan's potential as it aims for reconstruction. Together with this, we believe CEATEC JAPAN will be a great opportunity to demonstrate the vitality of the IT and electronics industries that are making great progress beyond the current difficult situation.
CEATEC Japan is Asia's largest comprehensive exhibition in fields such as images, information and communications. This exhibition will see the lead that the IT and electronics industries have in realizing a plentiful and low-carbon society conveyed widely, both at home and abroad.
This year, in addition to the exhibition's theme of "Smart Innovation - Cutting edge technologies to create the future," we are running "Safe, Secure and Smart Society Proposed by the IT and Electronics Industries" as our promotion slogan. The plan is to hold a lively exhibition and conference and during the period of the event we expect 200,000 visitors.

The organizers on the CEATEC JAPAN Organizing Committee are composed of the following three groups:

Information on the review status for the exhibition</center></b></font>

Dear Sir or Madam,

To start with we would like to offer our sincere sympathies to all those affected by therecent Northeast Japan Pacific Ocean offshore earthquake.

Efforts toward the recovery and reconstruction from the recent earthquake make it necessary to overcome the power crisis, revitalize the quake-hit area and maintain the vitality of the companies while aiming toward the construction of a safer and more efficient society.

Furthermore, internationally, against a background of fears over the acceleration of the shift to Asia, we think it is necessary to showcase to the world the speed of Japan's recovery and to work toward the early restoration of trust.

Against this backdrop, when CEATEC JAPAN 2011 is held, we would like to disseminate specific measures that make good use of IT and electronics technology, such as energy-saving, energy-creating and energy-storing technologies and also communications technology. It is our desire that the industry will join force to tackle these issues. We hope to be able to do all this in order to contribute to the early reconstruction of the quake-hit area and also to assist with the government's recovery plan under the banner of lifestyle proposals for an abundant and energy-efficient next generation and safe and secure urban development that starts with disaster
prevention measures.

In respect to everyone, the impact of the earthquake has left us all working in an extremely tough environment, but we hope that you are able to overcome these obstacles and attend CEATEC JAPAN 2011. Furthermore, at this year's exhibition, in addition to thoroughly ensuring everyone's safety at the exhibition hall, we are devoting ourselves to taking special measures, such as reducing power consumption. We would like to thank you for your cooperation with this.

Yours Sincerely
