Connect and expand! Smart life

Japan's TV broadcasting has been entering a completely digital age, and the broadcasting and the social media are now fusing. In NHK/JEITA booth, new digital broadcasting se rvices brought by combination of broadcast and broadband such as "Hybridcast™" and "teleda" will be demonstrated. We will also introduce an importance of the broadcasting network as an information infrastructure at earthquake disaster. In addition, visitors can real experience of the latest "smart life," from our exhibits on the various methods of saving energy for consumer electronic products, e.g., a personal computer, television set at the demonstration booth.

Based on a theme of realizing a low-carbon society and smart community aided by IT and electronics, this booth will introduce JEITA's diverse activities including disaster responses, policy recommendations, measures to combat global warming, safety measures, and energy-saving measures.

This booth will introduce the latest green IT-related products and activities by member companies. The Green IT Awards winners will also be introduced and a "Green IT Handbook" will be distributed.

Stage program will be carried out on the solar power trailer stage. The program includes public broadcasting of a radio program "E-ne! – good for you SPECIAL (tentative)" on Oct. 7th (Fri.). The participating companies and organizations in Smart Community Innovations 2011 will conduct presentations on the stage.
