With the concept of "Safe, Secure and Smart Society Proposed by the IT and Electronics Industries," CEATEC JAPAN will propose the latest technology contributing to build more prosperous, health-filled and energy efficient society, which would be a model case of how we build a sustainable society for people in the world.

Project of : Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK)
Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA)
Japan's TV broadcasting has been entering a completely digital age, and the broadcasting and the social media are now fusing. In NHK/JEITA booth, new digital broadcasting se rvices brought by combination of broadcast and broadband such as "Hybridcast™" and "teleda" will be demonstrated. We will also introduce an importance of the broadcasting network as an information infrastructure at earthquake disaster. In addition, visitors can real experience of the latest "smart life," from our exhibits on the various methods of saving energy for consumer electronic products, e.g., a personal computer, television set at the demonstration booth.
2hall 1Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) booth
Based on a theme of realizing a low-carbon society and smart community aided by IT and electronics, this booth will introduce JEITA's diverse activities including disaster responses, policy recommendations, measures to combat global warming, safety measures, and energy-saving measures.
3hall 2Green IT Promotion Council booth
This booth will introduce the latest green IT-related products and activities by member companies. The Green IT Awards winners will also be introduced and a "Green IT Handbook" will be distributed.
4hall 2New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) Booth
NEDO will introduce the latest technology developments that aim to balance between the saving energy / resources and strengthening the industrial competitiveness, which include electronics, materials, and nano-technology.

Based on a theme of "Start from Zero" envisioning a new social system which includes zero emission, community with self-generation capability to cope with global warming and natural disaster. This exhibition will demonstrate Community with self-generation capability, Smart house / shops with rechargeable batteries and EVs, EV food stand, and Charging station powered by solar.

Stage program will be carried out on the solar power trailer stage. The program includes public broadcasting of a radio program "E-ne! – good for you SPECIAL (tentative)" on Oct. 7th (Fri.). The participating companies and organizations in Smart Community Innovations 2011 will conduct presentations on the stage.
