Makuhari Messe Area Information

Over twenty years have passed since the development of Makuhari New City commenced in 1989. During this time, many facilities have been created including office and research buildings, commercial spaces, hotels, residences, schools, parks, a stadium and the Makuhari Messe exhibition site. The city is home to approximately 110,000 residents and visitors as well as workers and students. Makuhari New City has become a shining example of a 21st century town and it is now entering the second stage of its development.

Several large shopping malls are located near Makuhari Messe. These malls offer an abundance of shopping and dining options.
