Topics such as changes in broadcasting conditions and user viewing habits related to Japan’s complete migration from analogue broadcasting to digital broadcasting on July 2011 will be highlighted at CEATEC JAPAN 2010. Visitors can also discover the interconnectability of various terminals that link through networks, highly anticipated new communications services, and the latest mobile PC models introduced at the Touch & Try corner.

 

6) HATS PLAZA (HATS Conference)

In addition to the NGN (next generation network)
corner, new broadband services, VoIP services by SIP,
MPEG-4, demonstrations of PBX interconnecting and
faxing, products and services related to
interconnection, and standardization activities
conducted by TTC
(Telecommunication Technology Committee),
Japan will be introduced.

 

7) Accessibility Plaza (Info-communication Access Council)

The Info-communication Access Council will be
presenting demonstrations on a variety of telephone
and telecommunication devices, cell phones,
and media exchange services that can be used by
the physically challenged and/or the elderly.
Also planned at the mini stage are an introduction of
council activities and a learning course that uses
devices to simulate what it feels like when one becomes elderly.

 

8) Digital Health Care Plaza

Utilizing information and communication technologies
(ICT), various entities such as the Continua Health
Alliance that help to realize richer and healthier
lifestyles will be introduced. While the development
of ICT systems such as self-controlled
health-management equipment, PCs, and mobile
devices as well as health care services increase,
environmental measures and facilities providing
improved services for those involved in healthcare and nursing-care as well as medical professionals are also progressing. Given these circumstances, the Digital Health Care Plaza will aim to improve the quality of personal healthcare and promote efforts to realize a healthier society by linking various health and medical equipment with services.

9) Next-generation Computing Pavilion

A touch-and-try corner will be established to
introduce the latest products by various manufacturers,
new technologies in personal computing, and ways to
better enjoy PCs. Visitors will be able to gain firsthand
experience about the world of next-generation
computing and a variety of stimulating seminars are
also scheduled.

10) Content Experience Zone

Applications for digital products can be expanded by
connection to networks and turning them into platforms.
By using the latest in software for film, 3D video, music,
etc, people can grasp what the future in
entertainment enjoyment will be like by experiencing
popular media such as IPTV and Blu-ray discs.
