A breaker is a safety mechanism which forestalls smoke and fire by cutting the circuit when it senses excess heat in an electronic device.
The breaker is placed in a cell of a lithium-ion secondary battery pack and is used to prevent abnormal heat when overcharged or over discharged.
The working principle is that the bimetal disc reverses with increasing abnormal heat around the breaker or with self-heating by excess current. The circuit is blocked by opening the contact point.
The SIP series is used mainly in the single pack installed in a smartphone and the LC series is used in the multi-cell pack installed in a note-type PC.
Thus, the breakers have become an essential safety mechanism for mobile devices.

HEAT-RESISTING ORGANIC AR COATING

This is an anti-reflection coating for heat-resisting resin.
When the ordinary inorganic multilayer AR coating is applied to a resin substrate it generates a cracking during thermal loading. However the heat-resisting organic AR coating has no crack generation even with 240 degrees Celsius thermal loading. Also because of a monolayer film, it is effective even at a high incidence angle.
