Highly-expected Innovations in Broadcasting and Communications Technologies

Topics such as changes in broadcasting conditions and user viewing habits related to Japan’s complete migration from analogue broadcasting to digital broadcasting on July 2011 will be highlighted at CEATEC JAPAN 2009. Visitors can also discover the interconnectability of various terminals that link through networks, highly anticipated new communications services, and the latest mobile PC models introduced at the Touch & Try corner.

A space to experience the near-future - from the past to the future of broadcasting (NHK, JEITA)

By July 2011, analog TV broadcasting will have terminated and shifted to terrestrial digital TV broadcasting. Introducing the history of digital TV development, the exhibits will let visitors experience the new convenience and value of this media in personal lifestyle scenes at the NHK・JEITA booth.

HATS PLAZA (organized by the HATS Conference)

This year's HATS Conference exhibit will center on interoperability demonstrations using broadband services, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) ,MPEG4, and fax in VoIP (voice over IP) services, LANs, network routers and PBX interconnection using SIP.
The Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC) will also introduce its technology unification activities in Japan.

Accessibility PLAZA (organized by Inter-communication Access Council)

This exhibit will include demonstrations of telephone equipment, mobile telephones and media-exchange services designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly and physically challenged, as well as an outline of the Council's overall activities. Speeches and other events will also be held on the stage in the exhibit area. Mini-Speech is scheduled at the stage.

Next-generation Computing Pavilion

This exhibit will feature on the field of Next Generation Computing, the newest mobile PC models,” Touch & Try Corner”, a new communication service for mobile PCs and the latest technology elevating personal computing.
