            <description>CEATEC JAPAN 2009 - which was held from Tuesday, October 6th to Saturday, October 10th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba - has concluded and this year's event was held in changing times as the world faced an economical downturn and the H1N1 influenza epidemic while in Japan, a powerful typhoon swept through the Kanto region during the show. Despite these circumstances, however, CEATEC JAPAN 2009 attracted a total of 150,302 visitors during its five-day period (26,653 on the Oct. 6th, 31,405 on the 7th, 12,793 on the 8th during the typhoon, 44,833 on the 9th, and 34,618 on the 10th, last day). And although Tokyo's public transportation system was severely affected by the typhoon resulting in far fewer visitors on Oct. 8th, the total number of visitors was about as high as the other years when the event was held.
