
The special Life Contents Frontier exhibit, which is a part of METI's*1 activities for the 2009 fiscal year to strengthen the international contents market by promoting new content creation through software and hardware integration, will be held at CEATEC JAPAN again this year.
The Life Contents Frontier exhibit is interconnected with official activities under METI's roadmap for the development of contents-related technologies*2. This year, the exhibit will showcase the new roles and possibilities of content realized through the collaboration of software and hardware to enhance the senses and thoughts of people, as well as the specific solutions and technologies used to expand the potential of content. In addition, symposiums will be held to promote interaction and the exchange of ideas among a diverse range of participants such as producers and engineers who are involved in content and other related industries.

Exhibit space will encompass 360m² in the Makuhari Messe Convention Center (Hall 3, Digital Network Stage) and seven entrepreneurs of the industry chosen by general invitation will participate in a presentation called, “New Roles and Possibilities of Contents”, covering hypothetical user situations. Innovative industries that create new life contents will be promoted by using the wide range of functions available at CEATEC JAPAN 2009 to further publicize information to business people active in both the international and domestic IT and electronics fields.
Symposiums featuring key personnel involved in content technology development will be held as part of the CEATEC JAPAN 2009 Official Conference program. These symposiums will focus on the importance of content technology, problem resolution, future prospects and business developments of the content industry.
