The Japan International Contents Festival or CoFesta is the world's largest comprehensive content festival. The events connected with the content industry like games, animation, manga, characters, broadcasting, music, film and the content-related industries such as fashion and design will be held in cooperation with each other.
2009 will mark the third time that CoFesta will be held and following the themes of "MNNew" two years ago and "Entertaining" last year, this year's theme will be "Marvelous". The festival will feature 18 official events within the approximately 30-day period from September to October 2009. Bringing together the potential strengths of Japanese-made content and by linking media industries related to transmission and communications technologies to create new possibilities, the festival will strive for international recognition as the largest content festival in the world. During CEATEC JAPAN 2009, one of the official events in the CoFesta 2009 schedule, many announcements from technological fields supporting the content industry will be made along with contributions designed to create new content creation and growth in the content industry.
