A New Stage of Connecting People

New generation networks will connect people, contribute to more abundant lifestyles and open new business horizons. The year's show will introduce a variety of frontline network standards, including the DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), which is now closer to home than ever before with technological standards to link the NGN (Next Generation Network), high-speed PLC (Power Line Communication), audiovisual (AV) equipment and PCs with in-home LANs and information appliances.

HATS PLAZA (HATS CONFERENCE)

This year's HATS Conference exhibit will center on interoperability demonstrations using broadband services, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) ,MPEG4, and fax in VoIP (voice over IP) services, LANs, network routers and PBX interconnection using SIP. The Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC) will also introduce its technology unification activities in Japan.

ACCESSIBILITY PLAZA (INFO-COMMUNICATION ACCESS COUNCIL)

This exhibit will include demonstrations of telephone equipment, mobile telephones and media-exchange services designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly and physically challenged, as well as an outline of the Council's overall activities. Speeches and other events will also be held on the stage in the exhibit area.

Under the theme of "Tomorrow's Mobile Computing, this exhibit will feature a "Touch & Try Corner" and Net Cafe with exhibits centered on the newest mobile PC models Mobile PCs with wireless LAN connections will be placed at each seat in a Mobile Theater, where visitors will be able to view speech materials.
Information will be disseminated in sessions for people from PC beginners to heavy users of PCs.
